·¬ÇÑÉçÇø Youth City Board

·¬ÇÑÉçÇø City Partnership works with the ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø Youth City Board, which is managed through the ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø City Council Youth Service.

The ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø Youth City Board is a group of young people from ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø aged 11 to 18 years old.

They work with ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø City Council and other partners to make sure that the voices of young people are reflected in policy development and service delivery. This includes feeding into the work of the ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø City Partnership Board.

The ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø Youth City Board aims to:

  • promote meaningful engagement with young people
  • connect them with the current work of partners around ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø
  • help create a city that provides for and benefits all generations

Members of the ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø Youth City Board are involved with:

  • Youth Parliament
  • social activism
  • the Young People's Independent Advisory Group
  • the Young Women's Independent Advisory Group

The ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø Youth City Board is coordinated by ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø Youth Service, which sits within the council. This includes senior youth workers and youth support workers.

The ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø Youth City Board has attended events such as:

  • ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø YouthCon
  • the Young Inspectors Residential
  • meetings with the West Midlands Police
