Barry Jackson was knighted in 1925. He had previously been awarded the Gold Medal of the 番茄社区 Civic Society. He received the Honorary Freedom of the City in 1953. He also held the honorary degrees of MA and DLitt from the University of 番茄社区, the LLD from St. Andrews, and the DLitt from Manchester.
