1. REMINDER Provider Focus Groups – Opportunity to Feedback to ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø City Council (Information for all Care Providers that Support Citizens Funded by ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø City Council)
We are arranging four Provider Focus Groups in August and September (18 August / 20 August / 28 August / 2 September 2025) via Microsoft Teams. Each session will run for 90 minutes - they are open to all Care Providers that support citizens funded by ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø City Council. You only need to attend one session (please select either Provider Focus Group A, B, C or D – please pick only one – all sessions are the same). The purpose of the Provider Focus Groups is to give you an opportunity to feedback on how you think the Council is performing in key areas – Social Work / Occupational Therapy / Safeguarding / Commissioning / Communication & Relationships.

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is conducting a review of the effectiveness of:

A Call for Evidence was open from 28 May 2025 to 9 July 2025 (for more information,
An easy read version of the Call for Evidence is now available for people to share their views on the effectiveness and impact of Regulation 9A since it came into force on 6 April 2024. This version is designed to be more accessible and is open to anyone who prefers this format.
The easy read survey will be open for 6 weeks, closing at 11:59 pm on 26 August 2025. DHSC welcomes views from patients, care home residents, providers and professionals, family members, friends, carers, and advocates.

6. Royal College of Nursing (RCN) - Internationally Educated Nurse (IEN) Webinar 19 August 2025: Changes to Immigration Rules (Information for Care Homes with Nursing)
Forthcoming RCN webinar which will focus on the key changes to immigration policy. The booking link is:

The webinar will give attendees a better understanding of the changes to the UK’s immigration rules and assist with questions on:
- Increases to the immigration salary threshold, and the impact on those in NHS Band 3 roles and in the care sector.
- Changes to rules around family dependents for roles which are RQF levels 3-5.
- Changes to rules for sponsoring care workers.
- Government proposals on indefinite leave to remain.

8. Skills for Care - Delegated Healthcare in Action: Local Voices, Shared Solutions (Information for all Providers)
Skills for Care are hosting in-person, regional roadshow events to explore how delegated healthcare activities are supporting people and adult social care providers. The roadshow events will bring together everyone involved in delegated healthcare activities, ranging from registered professionals who delegate healthcare activities and commissioners, to providers and people who draw on care and support.
The events will draw on local insights and address common challenges to promote safe and personalised delegation. They are an opportunity to network with others delivering delegated healthcare activities in your region. You’ll also be able to find out what’s new and innovative and share with others what’s working well in your area.
The roadshow is open to anyone interested in delegated healthcare activities across adult social care.
